My animated sequence "the Boxer" was one of five winner films of the "20 Seconds for Art" - Challange by Kunst im öffentlichen Raum Vienna and INFOSCREEN. It has been shown on 2900 screens (at metro stations, in trams as well as in buses) during July and August 2019 all over Austria.
Only in February 2019 the International Boxing Association (AIBA) amended its rules to allow Muslim boxers to wear a hijab and fully cover their bodies in the ring. My short film visualizes this won fight towards equality for all humans, no matter where they come from or what they believe in.
Mein animierter Kurzfilm "the Boxer" war einer von fünf Gewinnerfilmen beim "20 Seconds for Art"-Wettbewerb, ausgeschrieben von Kunst im öffenltichen Raum Wien und INFOSCREEN. Er war auf 2900 Infoscreens (in U-Bahn Stationen, Straßenbahnen, sowie in Busen) im Juli und August 2019 in ganz Österreich zu sehen.
Erst seit Februar 2019 ist es teilverschleierten Boxerinnen gestattet bei internationalen Kämpfen teilzunehmen. Mein Kurzfilm steht verbildlicht für diesen gewonnenen Kampf in Richtung Gleichstellung aller Menschen, ganz unabhängig von Herkunft oder Glaube.
